The Juneau Soccer Club (JSC) supports youth soccer in Juneau. It funds the Juneau Douglas High School boys and girls soccer teams and organizes boys and girls club teams for ages 11 through 17. There are approximately 275 players per year and an almost equal number of families who benefit from its programs. JSC has been very successful in developing players and producing state championship teams at high school and club levels

JSC is almost solely supported by private funds, with an annual budget of approximately $150,000 per year. Fundraising initiatives include raffles, merchandise sales, business donations, membership fees, and ad sales.

The largest expense for JSC (approximately 40% of the total budget) is the cost of travel for high school and club teams to participate in Alaska and lower 48 tournaments. As there is only one team per age class in Juneau, kids must travel to participate in tournaments outside of Juneau.

General donations or donations to JSC to support travel would be greatly appreciated. JSC also seeks scholarships for children who would not otherwise be able to participate. In addition, there are also many opportunities for volunteers to serve as coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, and fundraisers!
