Alaska Native Brotherhood/Sisterhood, Grand Camp
Description: The Alaska Native Brotherhood/Sisterhood is a nonprofit, fraternal organization established in 1912. The organization has served Alaska in many ways, including assisting in the development of society and in the preservation of Native culture and ensuring that all people are treated equally. The first charter for the Alaska Native Brotherhood was formed in Sitka, Alaska, by a group known today as our Founding Fathers.

Description: The Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska is the Tribal Government representing approximately 26,000 Tlingit and Haida Indians worldwide. The Central Council is a sovereign entity with a government to government relationship with the United States. The Central Council’s mission is to preserve and enhance economic and cultural resources of the Tlingit and Haida nations and to promote self-sufficiency and self-governance while providing a safety net of services and protecting inherent sovereign rights. Services include Head Start; tutoring and advocacy in elementary and secondary school; scholarship and grant opportunities; child care; vocational training and rehabilitation; tribal courts; and family and youth services.

Description: Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is a non-profit tribal health consortium of 18 Native communities which serves the health interests of the Tlingit, Haida, Tsimpshean, and other Native people of Southeast Alaska. SEARHC is one of the oldest and largest Native-run health organizations in the nation with a mission to provide the highest quality health services in partnership with Native people. By working together in partnership with Southeast Alaska tribes and communities, we have succeeded in building a network of health care services spanning from prevention and education to outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital services.
