The Juneau Community Foundation’s Douglas-Dornan Foundation Fund recently announced $35,000 in grants to 16 nonprofits and schools in Southeast Alaska.
The fund was established in 1994 in memory of Brian Douglas and Wythe Dornan. Brian’s parents established the fund to support organizations dedicated to improving the health, education, and welfare of individuals residing in Southeast Alaska. More than $600,000 has been distributed since the program began.
Paul Douglas remained the primary fund advisor until his passing earlier this year. He was an outstanding and generous member of our community, and he devoted many hours to managing this grant program. His legacy inspires continued commitment by the Juneau Community Foundation and the Douglas-Dornan Fund advisors to champion the people and causes that Paul held dear and ensure the fund has a lasting impact.
