When our community faces challenges, many reach out to the Juneau Community Foundation for help. We actively partner with Juneau’s nonprofits to understand needs and maintain a healthy community by working with nonprofits and donors to keep Juneau connected and thriving.
For over five years, we have provided funding for the Universal Elementary School Breakfast Program, the Weekend Student Food Bags and student lunches. In 2022, we became the funder of the Student Vacation Food Boxes. More recently, we have started providing snacks to counselors for students in crisis. All of these programs have seen an significant increase in need. Recent conversations with our partners have made it clear that their funding and services are stretched to the breaking point. We find that we all need to do more.
We are asking you, our steadfast donors, to help provide healthy and nutritious meals to kids who need them most in our community.
