The Irene and Anne Shima Memorial Fund was established by the Juneau Soccer Club to honor the memory of Irene Shima and Anne Shima and to provide tribute to all they have generously given to the community over the years. The fund will be used to encourage participation in soccer activities by providing assistance to potential players who may have difficulty growing and developing in the sport due to a lack of financial resources. The Juneau Soccer Club’s primary mission is to provide youth soccer players with opportunities to build character and develop life skills while learning how to play the world’s most popular game.
