The Trades and Vocational Training Endowment was established at the Foundation in 2024 by Hugh and Shari Grant to encourage and support individuals in Southeast Alaska pursuing training, education, employment, or careers in trades, vocational, or technical fields. Southeast Alaska includes all of southeast Alaska from Metlakatla to Yakutat. In the future, annual grants from this endowment may support placement programs, institutions providing training programs, initiatives, facilities, apprenticeships, internships, job placement services, or career counseling in the trades.
