Abigail joined the Juneau Community Foundation in June 2026 as Communications Director.

While she was born and raised in Ketchikan, she settled in Juneau in 2022 after getting dual degrees in Biology and History from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and an MA in Comparative History from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. While working for the state legislature brought her to Juneau, she has been involved in other local nonprofits and worked as a climate change social scientist as a contractor for NOAA. After years of working in the business of delivering bad news, she’s enjoying being in the business of spreading good news. She moonlights as a baker and spends her free time reading, doing needlework, and finding beautiful invertebrates to look at.
