The Foundation’s Book Hook Fund Awards $14,200 In Grants To Rural Libraries

The Foundation’s Book Hook Fund provides grants for libraries in small rural Alaska communities (5,000 or less people). From Southeast Alaska to Nome, the Book Hook Fund has provided over $36,400 in grants to over thirty rural Alaskan libraries. Grants can be used to purchase materials for the public including books and periodicals, or software. Awards ranged from $500-$1000.

The Book Hook Fund’s grant application period opens in October of each year and is awarded in December.
